Six Flags Fright Fest

Every haunted attraction claims to be terrifying. Every October, audiences are bombarded with the same familiar monsters, jump scares and horror clichés. Simply claiming Fright Fest was “scarier” than every other Halloween event wasn’t enough.

So we approached the problem from an entirely different angle. What if Fright Fest wasn’t just home to monsters…what if it hired them? And what if its hiring standards were so impossibly high that even fiends from your worst nightmare couldn’t get the job? That simple premise transformed Fright Fest into the world’s most terrifying Human Resources department.

An entirely new cast of original monsters became nervous applicants, each interviewed, evaluated and ultimately rejected for not being frightening enough. The result was a campaign that didn’t just say Fright Fest was scarier but proved it by showing that even monsters audiences would fear most weren’t qualified.

After all, if they didn’t make the cut…imagine who did.
